Mazzys Recruits Ponte 10k & Wolf Run x

Hello All. 

So this year me and my team are committed to raising as much money as possible for The Prince of Wales Hospice starting with The Pontefract 10K in May then me and my wolf recruits are doing something different. We are doing The Autumn Wolf Run in September. Training has already began as we are going to need our fitness and strength to get through this. With a 10k run and 30+ obstacles and lots and lots of mud to tackle through. Some will be challenging and some we will have to tackle our fears. But we wont quit.

Ive lost 2 people in the last 2 months and 2 other ladies i know also lost their friends at the hospice in the same time period. I am wanting to raise as much as I can for The Prince Of Wales Hospice in Pontefract. In Memory of My Uncle Mick and The Beautiful Pauline.  I will do this with any donations received on this page and through other events (including Raffles, tombolas, bootcamps, carboots) over the next 8 months. Please help to support me and My Recruits.  My son Miles, Brother in law Richard, are doing the Pontefract 10K and good friends Rachel (now doing 10k haha) and Karen are joining us for the Wolf Run x and most of all The Hospice. A toughie run. But slowly built up.

So 3 weeks today to the 1st Event. Pontefract 10k. Eek. Its been a struggle with illnesses, injuries etc. But still struggling thru training sessions.

A week of being under weather and a dodgy knee. 3 weeks off training for Miles but managed a jog walk sesh today with Rich. Will b back on track. 11 weeks to Ponte 10K eek x

Already hit minimum target so lets samash next 1 x

So Fri saw Miles with a broken hand. But that didnt stop us getting out and doing our longest distance. (Miles walked still) while me n richard got in some extra runs x

This is a 1st running in the rain haha. But no quitting now training has begun. X

Another Run smashed. Doesnt get easier but we will keep going. 1st Run out for Rachel today. Smashed it mate x

Wow 1st jog/walk for Me, Miles n Richard. Tht was a toughie. Long way to go to our 1st Event to get anywhere near being ready lol x But day 1 is the hardest. Yes?  Haha

So now we have upped our Game after meeting with peoples fundraiser Lydia. Me my son Miles and Brother In law Richard are now tackling the Pontefract 10k in May as our 1st event. Im not a runner at all never mind a 10k. So we r starting training on Sunday for this 15weeks to go Eeek

So me, Our Miles, Richard, Rachel and Karen (unfortunately a badly broken foot means Jodie wont be able take part) will be doing this on 12th September 2026. I am no way ready for this so serious training is underway x
