Story

Members of the Milestone team are taking part in the Pontefract 10K on 17 May 2026, raising funds for a charity close to our hearts — The Prince of Wales Hospice.

For those who may not know, the Prince of Wales Hospice is our local hospice, providing specialist palliative care to individuals living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. The hospice’s focus is on improving quality of life, comfort and dignity, while also offering vital support to families and carers.

All of the hospice’s care is free of charge to patients and their loved ones — but it is not free to provide. Each year, the hospice needs to raise around £3.5 million to continue supporting patients and families in our community.

By supporting our 10K challenge, you’re helping ensure that compassionate care is there when it’s needed most. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference to people at one of the most important moments of their lives. Thank you for helping us go the extra mile.
