Fundraiser - Play for Helen, Play for hope and Play for a cure

Story

On Saturday the 15th August 2026, Pontefract Collieries Woman will play a special charity football match in loving memory of my mum Helen. This event is being held to celebrate her life, bring our community together and raise vital funds for The Prince Of Wales Hospice, which provides outstanding care and support to local families. Every donation, big or small will help the hospice continue its incredible work and will mean so much to everyone taking part. The Prince of Wales Hospice has been providing care to people with a life-limiting illness since 1989. Our services are available to any adult from the Five Towns area of the Wakefield District.

Our vision describes how the future of the Hospice will look if we achieve our ultimate aims.

Our values are our guiding principles which are at the heart of everything we do including how we care for our patients, their families, how we treat each other and how we interact with others generally.
