This summer, I’m taking on a unique challenge to raise money for The Prince of Wales Hospice, a charity that means a great deal to our family.
For the duration of the World Cup, I will run 1km for every goal scored. Each day, after the matches have been played, I will total up the goals scored and run that distance the following day.
Some days it might only be a few kilometres. Other days, if the goals are flying in (19 on Sunday night) it could be a much bigger challenge. Either way, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and getting the km’s done.
The Prince of Wales Hospice provides incredible care, compassion and support to patients and families for FREE during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Due to this, they require £3.5million each year to help keep this incredible service available. Their work has touched our family personally, and this challenge is my way of giving something back and helping ensure they can continue supporting others who need them.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help motivate me through the miles and support the amazing work carried out by the hospice.
Thank you for your support. Please donate if you can, and feel free to follow along as I take on every km that the World Cup throws at me.
