Story

Losing my mum at 8 months pregnant was one of the hardest things I've had to do but I can safely say I wouldn't have been able to make it through without the support of the people at the hospice. From the care they gave her in the weeks leading up to her death to the incredible care and support they gave us when all 6 of us were crammed in her room for the final week of her life. Those will forever be some of my most treasures memories. The support they gave her and us allowed us to simply be her daughter's and relish in our time with her knowing the caring side was very well looked after. They answered any questions we had, sat with us just to chat and treat my mum with the up most dignity and respect. Myself, Aaron and our two boys will be taking part in this walk because although nothing we could ever do could ever repay them for what they did for us but we want to be able to give back to allow other families going through the worst times of their lives to be able to access the same support and care we did.
