Story

This Hospice is very close to our hearts as a family. Our mum spent some time there, and we saw first‑hand the care, compassion and dignity they provide. Like so many others, many of us will have a connection to someone who has been supported by the hospice, whether a loved one, friend or colleague.

We’re taking on this walk to give something back and help raise vital funds so the Hospice can continue the amazing work they do for patients and families when they need it most.

The Prince of Wales Hospice has been providing care to people with a life-limiting illness since 1989. Our services are available to any adult from the Five Towns area of the Wakefield District.

Our vision describes how the future of the Hospice will look if we achieve our ultimate aims.

Our mission is our statement about the overall purpose of the Hospice.

Our values are our guiding principles which are at the heart of everything we do including how we care for our patients, their families, how we treat each other and how we interact with others generally.
